Tahini is a perfect condiment. It’s easy to make, you can put it on a variety of different dishes, and it’s delicious. Our version is nutty, spicy, and zesty, and it goes perfectly spread on veggies, or as a topping on a lamb shawarma burger!
Homemade Tahini
A zesty, creamy condiment perfect for spreading on a variety of meats and veggies.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup tahini paste
- 1/3-1/2 cup warm water
- 2 tbs lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic
- Little bit of onion salt
- Fat pinch garlic powder
- 4-5 dashes Tabasco
- Salt and cracked black pepper to taste
Directions
- Scoop tahini paste into large bowl. Make sure to blend paste, so it’s a mix of paste and oil, rather than just the oil that collects on the top. Add all ingredients but water.
- Add warm water, whisking continuously, until sauce reaches desired consistency.
- Taste and adjust seasoning.
