Tahini

By Paul

Tahini is a perfect condiment. It’s easy to make, you can put it on a variety of different dishes, and it’s delicious. Our version is nutty, spicy, and zesty, and it goes perfectly spread on veggies, or as a topping on a lamb shawarma burger!

Homemade Tahini

  • Servings: 6-8
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Print

A zesty, creamy condiment perfect for spreading on a variety of meats and veggies.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup tahini paste
  • 1/3-1/2 cup warm water
  • 2 tbs lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Little bit of onion salt
  • Fat pinch garlic powder
  • 4-5 dashes Tabasco
  • Salt and cracked black pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Scoop tahini paste into large bowl. Make sure to blend paste, so it’s a mix of paste and oil, rather than just the oil that collects on the top. Add all ingredients but water.
  2. Add warm water, whisking continuously, until sauce reaches desired consistency.
  3. Taste and adjust seasoning.
