We have no shortage of restaurants here in Alexandria. Old Town, especially, has everything from fast casual to fine dining, with the crowds to match.

One of the less touristy parts of Alexandria is the Del Ray neighborhood. With no shortage of restaurants, Del Ray aims to be the locals’ spot. Unfortunately, the restaurants in Del Ray are, on the whole, complete crap.

Over on our Restaurants Page, we just posted our review of a new spot in Del Ray, the recently-opened seafood restaurant Catch on the Ave. The food showed flashes of promise, and the drinks were absolutely on point, but, like Del Ray restaurants generally, the experience was mostly underwhelming.
